Custom gardens in mature established neighbourhoods are rewarding but often include challenges related to mature trees, drainage and also neighbour concerns due to existing features on adjoining sites.
This site is a typical scenario which combined many of the issues related to City Gardens. This garden included Ipe
decking, a very large window light well, custom shed, custom knee walls flanking the decking, heated paving and driveway
and subgrade drainage water management system and the challenges which occur with tight work space.
Existing mature trees also limited the space for staging and work set up, most of which was done by hand
